just finished a novel i just bought. quite nice, though it wasnt quite the genre i used to read. however, this novel got my mind spinning.
its called 'the nineteenth level of hell'. nobody knows if hell exists or not, either hell or heaven both. but for me, i think its just a matter of your own belief. some people think they exist, some people dont. some think hell and heaven are just a saying to warn humankind not to commit crime but instead care for the world and every living thing. actually, i think hell and heaven do exist. i think these arent exactly stuff that religions want us to believe just for the sake of believing. no offence to anyone here, im a free thinker after all.
i believe that evrything you do comes back to you in a circle. if you do good, in the end you shall receive something back. im not saying like a reward, but more like doing good for the sake of more goodness, which in the end also shall benefit you in some way or other. well, i think i said these out rather weirdly. huh. not quite knowing what im trying to convey here. these block of words dont seem right. but still. anything.
well, according to chinese folklore i think, hell has eighteen levels. you end up in hell in your afterlife if you do bad things when you were living. and in the end, you end up in different level according to your degree of crime. this, i totally agree. one has to think over what they have done wrong, and pay for it. even if you obtain others forgiveness, you still cant win over one thing: your ownself. i doubt anyone can be that cold-blooded. though maybe there are people like that existing. but still, all my own opinion here.
so where does the nineteenth level of hell come from? according to the novel, the nineteenth level of hell... is of wrongdoing for the sake of love. this started me ticking. is love really that powerful? to make someone die for you, to make someone do something unforgiveable for the sake for you and therefore suffer. is it worth it, does it exist?
i think, yes. love really is powerful. maybe i havent saw it happening before, maybe no one saw it before, maybe it is too rare in this world. but to say the truth, there arent any definite answers.
to say the truth, this world needs more love. not only 'romance love', but also others like families' affection, friendship love... because from what i know of this world we live in, there are actually so much ugliness existing. i know everyone has their own good and bad sides. but still, why not try to make the world a better place? like i said, there arent any definite things in this world, whats wrong may be right in the end. but sometimes if we've lost ourselves in the world of right and wrong, all we need is someone who can lead the way and take us back home.
huh. this is what i think. just finding a space to write out my mind and clear my mind. =]
